About Megan Hunter

Hello, Welcome!!

I have been a photographer since 2017. I married my high school sweetheart in May of 2016. Since being married we have lived what feels like a million different life times. Shortly after being married we I was diagnosed with DOR (a female infertility) and we were told our chances of having a family on our own was less than 5%. At the age of 21 that was some fairly intense information to be given. However, I'm not one to be told I can't do something so we pressed forward with 5 IUI treatments followed by 4 ifs cycles and one transfer all before the age of 24.

Then it worked! Our first born arrived on his due date August 8th 2020. He is the sweetest baby who has a heart full of pure love, and endless energy. He is so funny and your typical little boy infatuated with monster trucks, riding bikes and getting dirty.

My husband and I were born and raised in Northern California. After getting married we moved to New Mexico, Long Beach, Yucaipa, and now back home in Northern California. The city of Auburn is our new home town. I love how much I have been able to experience different areas and the remarkable people I have met along the way. As difficult as moving was we have been able to explore and live in some pretty unique locations that has given us some incredible memories and lifelong friendships.

After moving home and having our first son we were just living life and had hoped for a miricle in being able to have another baby on our own however we knew all odds were against us. At least so we thought. Then two weeks after our first sons birthday we find out unexpectedly that we were expecting our second son in May of 2022. He has been the greatest addition to our family and we feel beyond blessed to have him in our lives. Our sweet Walker is the most sweet cuddly bundle ever and his brother is just as equally as obsessed with him as we are.

Family has always been a end goal for me and after hearing back in 2017 that I may not be able to have a family of my own I was devastated. I had only ever imagined having a family my whole life it was the one thing I was always certain of. After finding out I had tried to pick up my love for the medical field and became a licensed phlebotomist. However it didn't feel fore filling enough so I picked up on an old passion for photography and since then it has been an amazing outlet for myself allowing me to escape and be creative with other families. I love the families I get to work with on the daily and having a positive happy and uplifting career now that also allows me to remain home with my two boys during the day. For that reason alone I'm immensely grateful for this job and business I have built for the past few years and I look forward to more opportunities it gives me in the future years to come.

I am currently serving the Northern California area, however willing to travel throughout California and surrounding states. I would cherish the opportunity to be your photographer.
